The AKG D880SM vocal mic features amazingly tough construction, easy changeability to wireless and a silent on/off switch!

The D880SM is a professional quality dynamic vocal mic that features super tough construction and crisp, high quality sound for demanding stage use. In all other respects identical to the D880M, the D880MS's XLR module is equipped with a silent on/off switch. Perfect for lead or backup vocalists, the D880SM is a part of AKG's Emotion series microphones, known for their high quality sound, and tough, feature rich construction. Like the C900 vocal mic, also an Emotion series mic, the D880M/S's XLR connection can be easily replaced with the TM 40 transmitter module for wireless operation. The D880SM also features a double diaphragm shock mount to reduce mechanical noise, and a spring steel wire-mesh grill.
Aiming to enhance the functionality of the Emotion series, AKG's Tripower series mics, which include the supercardioid D3800M with hum suppression coil, and the cardioid D3700M, provide additional performance features like ergonomically optimized triangular handles. Not to mention the Tripower Series' condenser instrument and vocal mic, the C5900M, which includes a variety of additional audio features, like a selectable bass cut filter, and an output level control. If you're looking for high quality, low cost vocal and instrument mics, see AKG's CCS series mics. Midrange instruments, for example, are perfect with the D22/XLR, featuring neutral reproduction characteristics and an integrated stand for easy placement in front of amps or on top of drums. For bass, the D11/XLR is the mic, as it offers high clarity low end response for clear bass reproduction. And for kick drums, check the D112, its high SPL capability and large diaphragm providing crystal clear low end. The D77S, on the other hand, is an ideal utility mic, good for everything from backing vocals to high frequency synthesizers.
