AKG K301 XTRA semi open hi-fi headphones (02139)
AKG K301 XTRA headphones are especially designed for high fidelity audio reproduction using AKG's own Varimotion technology. Using a diaphragm of varying thickness results in more accurate vibrational accuracy and a clearer, more extended frequency range.
K301 XTRAs are exceptionally light (less than 9 ounces), even though they're equipped with large leatherette ear pads that cover the full ear for maximum blockage of outside sound. The self-adjusting headband takes the weight of the headphone off your ears for maximum comfort.
These headphones have a particularly strong bass response and also reproduce speech and dialogue particularly well, making them perfect for use with multimedia devices like DVD players and laptops as well as portable music players or home stereos.
The K301 has a long 10 foot cord that's equipped with a mini stereo jack, and a screwable 1/4" adapter is included.
AKG also has a variety of other headphone models for just as many uses. Applications requiring careful monitoring in noisy environments demand AKG's K55 headphones. These are specially designed to minimize outside noise and boost low end frequency reproduction. The K66 on the other hand, is perfect for extended listening situations, with its semi-open back and powerful 40mm speakers allowing both maximum sound quality and lasting comfort. The K44 is also available. Useful for a variety of applications, its primary strength lies in its flexibility.
